Division and Unity

Good Morning!

There is a lot of division around us. I am listening to all the results of the elections yesterday and some are excited and some are not and some are in blame mode and others are feeling vindicated.

In amongst all of this, I can still see the lines of division that separate and compartmentalize us.

But… there is something that can unite us and keep us moving together in the same direction without division.

“So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus himself being the cornerstone, in whom the whole structure, being joined together, grows into a holy temple in the Lord. In him you also are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit.” Eph. 2:19-22

Now then, you might point out that there is a whole lot of division in Christianity and you would be correct. However, let me hasten to remind you that this is not God’s plan. He wants us united, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus as the cornerstone. When we move away from that, then we create division.

Let’s remain united and focused on God’s Word and HIS plan for things. Then we can find true unity!
