Election Day

25-vote-badge--election-day-vector-illustration-1113tm-v1

Good Morning! Election Day!

Today, we have a chance to make a difference in our country by voting for the person who best represents our values. We should live every day in way that demonstrates our faith and when we have opportunity as we do here in America, we should participate in the public process that influences our government, election day.

However, remember that someone else will have the final say in the governing of this world, “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

Our government rests on His shoulder. It exists by His express permission. “Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God.” Rom. 13:1

In one sense, the first election day was the day God chose to create this world and set in motion all that has followed. Now that doesn’t mean that we have no choice, but that God has provided opportunities for us to choose (elect) to follow Him.

No matter who is put in office on this election day, God is still in charge!!

God bless and have a great day!
