Be strong, and work!

Good Morning!

“Yet now be strong, O Zerubbabel, declares the Lord. Be strong, O Joshua, son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people of the land, declares the Lord. Work, for I am with you, declares the Lord of hosts” Haggai 2:4

In context, they are worried about how things are looking as they build the temple. Some remembered Solomon’s temple and this one was not near as pretty. They were concerned that their work was not good enough. God tells them to not worry about it, just get busy!

Sometimes, we feel or act the same way. What I can accomplish is so little or so inadequate, why bother. Just remember what Paul said in 2 Cor. 3:5, our adequacy comes from God. So… let’s get busy, building the Lord’s house, the church (not the building, the people)!

God bless and have a great day!!
