“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly. I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” John 10:10-11
There are so many things about sheep that are not flattering. They are stubborn, They cannot be herded but must be led. They are not the most intelligent animals. But Jesus uses this animal to describe our relationship to him.
He is willing to lead us, to feed us, to protect us and yes, to even die for us! Let’s be sure today that we are following the Shepherd, the one who lay down his life for His sheep.
God bless and have a great day!
